About the artist

I studied at ESAG Penninghen in Paris. After several years working with painting and illustration, I trained to become an arts and crafts teacher.

I have a deep love for nature and conservation. With eagerness and curiosity, plants and animals play a central role in my paintings and drawings. I mainly work with gouache and watercolor on paper, and I have also written and illustrated several children’s books.

In my free time, I love spending time by the sea or in the mountains — always with my sketchbook in hand. If you hike with me, please be patient; you’ll likely hear me say, “Wait, I just have to make a drawing.”

I live and work just outside Stockholm, Sweden.

Badjelánnda

Coffee break and sketching during a hike in Badjelánnda/Padejlanta National Park, in northern Sweden. The area is known for its unique flora.

Haddit and surroundings

Drawing small flowers at the foot of Haddit, where we camped for one night. The flora in Badjelánnda is unique, as are the names of every mountain, creek, river, rock, and stone—such as Haddit and Vaisaluokta. Everything is mysterious and sometimes a little frightening; the weather is harsh and changes rapidly.
